Hallee Bridgeman does it again with her second installment in the Jewel Trilogy. Sapphire Ice introduced us to the Bartlett sisters Robin, Maxine, and Sarah, and let us in on the unexpected romance between Robin and Tony. In Emerald Fire the story moves on to Maxine, the middle sister, and her surprising love interest. Who does Maxine fall in love with and who is it that she marries in Vegas? The Jewel Trilogy continues with surprise, drama, and more edgy Christian romance. If you liked Sapphire Ice you’ll love Emerald Fire, available from Smashwords in e-book format and from Amazon and B&N. Be sure to read Emerald Fire in preparation for the third book, Topaz Fire, available in May 2012. Honestly, I like Emerald Fire better than Sapphire Ice. Don’t get me wrong, they’re both great books but Emerald Fire is a tad bit more well written, and that’s alright because I can only imagine how good Topaz Fire is going to be! Great character development, well researched writing when necessary, overall an exciting read.
