The Voice is a new translation of the Bible that reads rather like a screenplay. Honestly, what it reminds me of is those comic book versions only without the pictures. I think The Voice would be beneficial to those who find a traditional translation hard to read. It clearly shows who said what and all that stuff. It also makes a great resource for doing Bible based productions (like at Christmas when you do the re-enactment of Mary and Joseph, for example) simply because it’s already broken down into parts.
My husband looked it over and thought it was pretty neat how it was written up. He’s going to give a copy to a classmate who said he has a hard time reading his Bible in hopes that he’ll be able to understand it better. We both give it a couple thumbs up because some people need to read things in this format for them to make sense. Understandably, it isn’t for everyone, but it’s a good version!
